COS gone dub/reggae. As others have said, this is a different sound to their earlier albums but still shows off their wonderful composition skills. I'd say people aren't liking it as much because it trades the prog/zeuhl styles for something more groove oriented. Certainly a quirky band, COS do their own thing and often remind me of another band of musical weirdos from this decade: Deerhoof. They are both experimental, genre obliterating pop bands at heart and both Pascale Son and Satomi Matsuzaki have vocals that could be called "different". Both also have highly accomplished musicians at their helm, pushing pop into places it hasn't been before. I think if you have enjoyed one of these playful and precise bands, you will most likely enjoy the other.
