Still the quintessential Progressive Jazz Disc. Never-ending melodies that paint a picture of a world not so long ago. Times of carefree weekends and uncluttered freeways and byways. Included the always impressive family Laws in the presence of Ronnie's sisters Eloise and Debra. Joining an impressive list of giants of Jazz, is Ronnie's secret weapon, none other than EWF's very own Larry Dunn. Simply an undeniable collection of sounds that ushered in the times and rhythms that are very much a part of the cacophonies we hear today.

Produced by former Crusaders member Wayne Henderson, saxophonist Ronnie Laws' Friends and Strangers LP showcases his skilled chops on up-tempo and mellow tunes. Standouts are the easygoing title track "Nuthin' 'Bout Nuthin'," " Saturday Evening," and "New Day." Of note is the synth playing of Earth, Wind & Fire's Larry Dunn. Some of the LP's tracks can be found on The Best of Ronnie Laws.
