One of the best Martime acts ever to come out of Nova Scotia. Truly one of Canada's best unknown power trios with musical influences of Led Zeppelin and Jethro Tull abound on this album. Hard driving fuzz guitar, booming bass and hard drumming on each track. Originally recorded in 1974

Cool hard-rock/proto-metal by this teenage power-trio from Nova Scotia. Hard driving fuzz guitar, booming bass and hard drumming on each track. Recorded in December 1976. 'Limited Edition' was originally released in 1977 as a private edition of 1000 copies for promo purposes.

These guys were clearly several years ahead of their time. Though recorded in Nov. of '74, the overall sound of this album is fairly typical of 80's commercial heavy metal, and features dual guitar, bass, and drums. Though the quality of their material is quite consistent, there are no real stand-out tracks. Of the 12 cuts offered, fully 9 of them rate a B, while the remaining 3 get a B-; that's what I call consist! No booklet, but a nice fold-out card with a forward, comments by a music critic, and short band history by one of the members, as well as a few pics. Apparently this album has considerable cache among metal fans, of whom, I don't consider myself a very big one, so maybe my grading might not be in line with general consensus. Incidentally, I miss the two bonus cuts on par with everything else on the album, so this reissue seems worth it for them alone.
