A must have vinyl of percussive Afro Funk for all the music connoisseurs, “K. Frimpong backed by Vis à Vis “ LP is a true masterpiece, so hard to find and reaching crazy skills for a decent copy affordable.

"K Frimpong Backed By Vis-A-Vis" is one of the best album in highlife genre and K. Frimpong's musical career. It was originally released in 1978, when K. Frimpong and Vis-A-Vis were on their peak. They shows exceptional performance in the record-funky rhythm, dope synth sound and soulful horn!

Side A, counterpiece of the album, includes two classics, "Aboagyewaa" and "Ohene A Oda Apakan Mu". "Aboagyewaa" is one of the best track that K. Frimpong ever recorded. It contains all elements of K. Frimpong-style highlife. Catchy horn melody, complex percussion rhythm, heavy bass and dope synth blend perfectly. Also you can hear fascinating guitar, sax and synth solo. Second track, "Ohene A Oda Apakan Mu" is relaxed and tender horn-driven highlife. Soulful and sophisticated horn leads this beautiful, tender song.

Side B, less powerful than Side A, also includes great tracks. "Abrabo" is fast highlife with soulful vocal, and "Acheampomaa" is excellent mid-tempo highlife with solid rhythm. These songs are inferior to previous two classics, but feature great groove and vocal.
